From a couple of weeks back...

Last month, the students in the class split up into groups, rolled their sleeves up and became archaeologists. While we didn't bother with the Akubras and whips this time ( just like Indiana Jones - although younger readers may just refer to him as a younger Han Solo from the recent episode seven), it was an opportunity to:
- work as a team,
- get a bit dirty, and
- learn about a particular period of time from our past.

Here are some pictures of what went on:

The groups uncovered pottery from Ancient Rome, arrow heads from Mesopotamia, and scarab beetles from Ancient Egypt.
In time, we will get some of the students to link the videos documenting their excavation to their own History blogs.

Welcome to our blog...

This is the central page for the History blog of Year 7 Wade - 2016.
From this page you will be able to access each student's blog and discover what they are doing or what they find interesting when it comes to History.

While it will not be a comprehensive collection of the work completed in class, this blog will attempt to showcase some of the more interesting pieces of work that the young men of Wade have completed during their three periods per week.

I sincerely hope you enjoy checking in from time to time, as I know the contributors will enjoy posting entries as the year progresses.
